Today in Preschool Kid’s Church (Sunday School) the kids had the opportunity to hear the Easter story about Jesus dying, being raised from the dead and promising to return.
Since this was such an important message, the teachers enlisted the help of a furry marsupial interloper (Koala) called Fred!
Fred told the kids how Jesus dying on Good Friday and being raised on Easter Sunday was all part of God’s plan to save all of us from sin and death.
After the kids listened so well to the story they all got to give Fred a pat and he went back to sleep. (Fred sleeps for 26 hours a day!)
Later, the kids all contributed to making a beautiful collage showing a radiant cross to remind everyone of God’s plan to save the world.
It’s now hanging up in the Preschool Kid’s Church room at the back of the church so that everyone can be reminded about this important message.
