This week in Preschool Kid’s Church we learnt the story of Jesus healing the Leper from Matthew 8:1-4 .
There was a man who couldn’t live with his family any more because he was very sick. He had sores all over his body! The sickness was so bad that wherever he walked he had to call out to people to keep away from him.
He was very sad because he couldn’t live at home with his family any more.
One day the sick man saw Jesus. He had heard about what Jesus could do. He called out to Jesus, “Jesus! If you want to, you can make me better!”
Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. Everyone around was surprised because Jesus had touched the man who had a terrible disease. But as Jesus touched the man He said, “Yes! I do want to make you better!”
Immediately the man was made better. The man was so happy that he told everyone about what had happened and how Jesus had made him well.
Jesus healed this poor man and fixed his sickness because Jesus loved him. Did you know that we have a problem as well? It’s called sin. Sin is when we do bad things that keep us away from God. But Jesus loves us so much that He died so that he could fix our sin, so that instead of being apart from God, we can be friends with God forever.
Jesus fixed the man’s sickness, and Jesus can fix our sin. Thank You Jesus!
