This morning in the church hall a number of our congregation gathered together to enjoy a healthy and tasty Saturday morning prayer breakfast!
Prayer breakfasts are a tradition at All Saints ANew and are a great way to gather together with other people who love the Lord Jesus to talk, listen, sing and pray. We serve a simple breakfast with many different options for those with different dietary requirements and preferences.

This morning, after our healthy and tasty breakfast, we sang a few hymns together and then listened to a brief talk.
Arthur Copeman, our senior minister, spoke about Jeremiah 1:4-12 where the young and inexperienced Jeremiah is called to become a prophet by God. Of particular focus was Jeremiah 1:12b where God tells Jeremiah…
I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.
Arthur asked people to think of passages in the Bible and other ways that God is watching to see that His word is fulfilled. Some answers included…
- The “Great Commission” of Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20)
- That His “little ones” are being cared for (Matthew 18:1-9). Namely that God is watching and caring about those for whom no one else cares about.
- The progress of our world till the return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus.
We were then invited to pray in our small table groups. We were each asked to think about one thing that we wanted to thank God for, one thing we could ask God for and then one reason to praise God.
Finally, as a special treat, we were invited to the as yet to be opened, newly renovated church building down the street to pray together.
It was a wonderful way to start the day, a lovely opportunity to talk with other followers of Jesus, and a great time to pray to, worship and thank our God.
