About Us

Our story begins in 2019 when two existing churches merged: All Saints New Lambton, and Anew.

Everything we do is shaped by the Bible. We believe it is God’s authoritative Word to us.

Our Vision

To see more people transformed by Jesus.

Jesus is in the business of transforming people.

Through the finished work of his death and resurrection and by his Spirit, he is now bringing people peace with God, certain hope of eternal life, love between enemies, and even joy amidst the worst trials.

We’re asking God to continue this work through us as a church, so that He would be glorified throughout Newcastle and the world.

What does our vision look like?

By the Spirit

God is in control of all thing and has decided to work through our efforts by the power of the Holy Spirit. We plant and water, but He gives the growth.

Establish Thriving Congregations

In our context, we believe a thriving congregation will see 100 people on Sunday, new people coming to faith, and everyone using their gifts to serve God and love people.

In Five Locations

There are so many people we can’t meet if we stay in one location, so we’d love to spread out and reach more of Newcastle.

Pastored Locally

Each congregation will be overseen by a specific pastor, to ensure the ministry is done in a relational way, sensitive to the local context.

And Supported Centrally

To support the network, a ministry centre will be established in New Lambton. It will provide training, ministry resources, administration, and even some centralised ministries.

As a church we officially partner with these organisations

Would you join us?

If you’re a Christian looking for a church, would you partner with us in sharing the gospel in Newcastle? We’d love to hear if you’re moving to the area so do pop in on Sunday, or send us a message to say hello.

Our beliefs

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word, and is therefore true and authoritative in all matters of faith and conduct. By the Holy Spirit God continues to speak to us through the Bible, telling us all we need to know in order to follow Him, and be in right relationship with Him through His Son Jesus. So we have someone read out the Bible at church, and it’s the basis of all our preaching and teaching.

God

There is one God, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God: eternal, and worthy of worship. God is before all things; He created all things; He sustains all things; and He works all things towards His eternal purpose centred on the Son, Jesus Christ. God is good and just: He cannot tolerate evil, and has set a day when He will judge the living and the dead. And God is love: He delights in the salvation of sinners, who entrust themselves to Jesus’ sacrifice on their behalf.

People

In the beginning God made humanity good, bearing His image as man and woman. It wasn’t long, however, before humans rebelled against God, such that we now live in a fallen state under His curse. As sinners we are inclined to prefer our own ways rather than God’s, and our future prospects are grim: death and the fullness of God’s eternal judgment.

But because of God’s love, God the Son took on humanity and was born into our world as Jesus. Unlike the rest of us, Jesus never sinned, but obeyed God perfectly. This obedience was perfected when Jesus submitted to God’s plan, dying on the cross to take the judgment you and I deserve for our sin. By this, God punished sin so that He is both just and able to save us who deserve His wrath.

Jesus’ resurrection three days later proved he was innocent, and showed that God accepted his sacrifice on our behalf. So now “whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Church

As God draws individuals to Himself through Jesus, He adopts us as His children and gathers us together to be the church. This is the household of God, the Christian family that is formed by Jesus, and united by the Spirit. God equips each of us to serve one another in love, building each other up so that together we may be transformed to be more and more like Jesus (Ephesians 4:11-16).
