CHURCH WEEKEND IN 2021

FEBRUARY 27-28

What does it mean as a Christian to be
single, married, divorced, or widowed?

The weekend in will be a mix of smaller house gatherings on Saturday, and two large gatherings on Sunday. As people register, we’ll organise the Saturday and Sunday groups.

SUNDAY

PICK MORNING GATHERING:

9am BRUNCH

Decide with your Sunday group whether to go to a cafe or meet at someone’s house

11am SESSION 3

All Sunday morning groups meet in the church building, or you can join via Zoom.

OR AFTERNOON GATHERING:

4pm SESSION 3

This is identical to the Sunday morning (Session 3), and all Sunday arvo groups meet in the church building, or via Zoom.

No kids’ program

6pm DINNER

Decide with your Sunday group whether to go to a restaurant or meet at someone’s house

SATURDAY / SUNDAY GROUPS

These are the small groups you’ll meet with over the weekend. Great chance to spend some time together, over a meal or two, to keep building relationships.

Saturday groups will meet together for the 2 Saturday sessions (with lunch and dinner).

Sunday groups will meet for brunch or dinner on Sunday.

KIDS

During the Saturday and Sunday morning sessions, we’ll be running a preschool to year 6 program in the hall.

 

On Sunday morning there will also be creche in the church building.

FOOD

When you’re assigned a Saturday group, the host will help the group sort out lunch and dinner amongst yourselves.


As for Sunday groups, we recommend heading out to a cafe together for brunch, or a restaurant for dinner.

SATURDAY ACTIVITIES

On Saturday, pick whichever of these you’re keen to do!

    • Hang out at Lambton Park playground
    • Walk from Bar to Merewether – meet in the Bar Beach carpark and set out when you’re ready
    • Darby St – meet outside the Del and split into groups from there

ZOOM

The sessions will all be on Zoom, and we’ll watch them in our house gatherings. For those of us who still can’t gather physically, this means you can still join in! Tick the ‘Zoom only’ option when you register so we still know you’re with us, and we’ll organise some Zoom rooms for you to chat as well.

COST

The only costs this year are for meals, and the Saturday activities you opt into. As such there is no registration fee!

Perhaps you could use this saving to bless someone else – shouting them brunch/dinner on Sunday 🙂
